SLAC members work in a number of mediums and processes including: metal, clay, snow carving, paper making, mold making, sculpture, beading, fabric, wood, fused & blown glass, abstract & portrait painting, photography, graphic design and assemblage.
Formed in 2011, the Collective meets regularly for critiques and food. Its’ essence has been to improve the quality of our work, share knowledge and expertise, and to provide a safe forum for honest critical assessment – essentially, supporting fellow artists in projects from initial creation to exhibition.
Since it's inception several of the members have gained outside gallery representation. Individually, each of theartists have held solo exhibitions (and/or have been included in many group shows) in Yukon galleries and are familiar to many Yukoners. There is also a new member who became connected through the Ted Harrison Artist Retreat residency.
